This collection contains three VHS tapes and one DVD related to Black history in Arkansas collected by Othello Faison.

Biographical/Historical Note

Othello Owington Faison was a Little Rock school teacher, school administrator, and organist. Faison was also a charter member of the Art Porter Singers, a singing group organized by Art Porter Singer Sr., in 1976. The group has continued to conduct concerts after Porter's death. Othello Faison was married to Peter G. Faison for over 66 years, and the two had five children. Faison died February 17, 2020.
