Biographical/Historical Note
Lyon College is a private liberal arts college located in Batesville, Arkansas. It was founded as Arkansas College in 1872, but its name was changed to Lyon College in 1994. It is the oldest independent college in Arkansas and is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.
