This collection is comprised of genealogy research, correspondence, books, photographs, optical disks, and other documents pertaining to genealogical information of the Rankin, Hogan, Wynn(e), and Bean(e) families.
Biographical/Historical Note
Michael Maurice Rankin was born on August 18, 1939, in El Dorado, Arkansas. He is the son of L.D. Rankin and Lucy Estelee Beane Rankin. He married Carolyn Jackson in Natchez, Mississippi, on October 20, 1957. He was later married to Barbara June Wheeler in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, on October 8, 1973. He had two children with Carolyn Jackson named Maurisa Michelle Rankin and Sharon Leigh Rankin. He had two children with Barbara June Wheeler named James Forest Rankin and Amy Renee Rankin. This collection contains genealogical research done by Michael Rankin that traces the lineage of the Rankin, Hogan, Bean(e), and Wynn(e) families who lived in various areas throughout Arkansas.
