Biographical/Historical Note

The North Little Rock African American Oral History Project was an endeavor of the Preservation of North Little Rock African American History Committee to interview residents and former residents born during the early 1900s, about their memories of the community, prior to 1950. The project includes a brief biography and photograph of each person interviewed. The project was made possible with a grant from the Arkansas Humanities Council and the Black History Advisory Committee (now the Black History Commission of Arkansas).
