Description
This collection contains postcards, envelopes and greeting cards sent to her from family and friends, between 1920-1931. The postcards are from all over the United States, such as Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, Atlanta, New York, Houston, Colorado Springs, Detroit, etc.
Biographical/Historical Note
On August 24, 1903, Dorothea "Dora" Wilhemina Oswald, was born to Andrew and Minie Oswald in Little Rock, Arkansas. On December 3, 1945, she married Colin Edison Ellis in Montgomery, Alabama. The two had met while working for Southern National Insurance Company. Dora spent the majority of her life, living at 1608 Welch Street in Little Rock. She died January 28, 1995 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery.
