Description
This collection holds one ledger book containing bonds of various county officials from across Arkansas, records of a number of assessment books distributed to counties in Arkansas for 1900-1911, and poll tax receipts shipped in 1899-1903.
Biographical/Historical Note
A public official is required to sign a bond to guarantee that they will faithfully perform his/her official duties of the county, municipality, or state. If those duties are neglected, a claim can be filed on the signed bond.
