This collection contains autobiographical sketches for the men who served as Senators and Congressmen from Arkansas during the mid to late 1800s. It also includes some non-autobiographical letters written by the Arkansas statesmen.

Charles Lanman collected autobiographical sketches of Senators and Congressmen from all states in the Union during the last half of the nineteenth century.
