The Centennial Commission collection consists of materials related to the Arkansas Centennial Commission and its operations. These materials include preparations for, and celebrations of, the centennial year, as well as activities in the period 1937-1940. Additionally, materials concerning financial matters (bills, fund raisings, salaries, etc.) are included in this collection

Biographical/Historical Note

The Centennial Commission was created by the Arkansas Legislature to organize and manage activities around the centennial celebration of Arkansas' statehood in 1936.
