Biographical/Historical Note

The St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway initially operated between St. Louis, Missouri and Texarkana, Arkansas. Acquired by railroad tycoon Jay Gould in 1883, it was absorbed by Gould's Missouri Pacific Railroad.
