Description
This collection contains one bond for Jerimiah Posten and James Cummins to Moses Graham, sheriff of Clark County, Arkansas Territory, dated April 27, 1820.
Biographical/Historical Note
Clark County was one of the first three counties established in Arkansas in 1818. Named for William Clark, Governor of the Missouri Territory, of which the county belonged to at the time. Clark County was later reduced in size as other counties were formed, and Arkadelphia became its county seat in 1842.
