This collection contains a certificate of purchase of the Reeves Estate in Crittenden County by J. L. Cocke. It is signed by W.F. Werner, Sheriff and Collector.

Biographical/Historical Note

Crittenden County is Arkansas' 12th county, formed on October 22, 1825. It is named after Robert Crittenden, the first Secretary of the Arkansas Territory. The county seat is Marion.
