Description

This collection contains one bound volume with a list of men and women from Crossett, Arkansas, who served during World War II.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Crossett Service Men's Honor Roll was erected in the latter part of 1942 to recognize and honor the men and women from Crossett who served during World War II. The honor roll was located between the bank building and the Masonic building on the west side of Main Street at Crossett. Over time, it was found that the honor roll would not withstand the elements for an extended period of time so, it was decided on January 26, 1946, that the roll would be dismantled. The names have been preserved in this bound volume. This book states that there was an inability to secure a complete list of names, but the book is dedicated to those who served in any branch of service.
