Biographical/Historical Note

William Bittle was born January 23, 1833 in Calloway County, Kentucky to William Bittle and Jane Walker. He was married to Mary S. Stark whom he had five children: Levi C. Bittle; John H. Bittle; Mary Kizzie Bittle; James L. Bittle; and Thomas Joshua Bittle. William Bittle died on January 10, 1907 at the age of 73 in Shiloh, Cleburne County, Arkansas and buried at Greer's Ferry, Cleburne County, Arkansas.
