This collection consists of ten letters from Cordell Hull to Governor Futrell, date range May 20 1933-August 29, 1935.

Biographical/Historical Note

Cordell Hull (1871-1955) was politician from Tennessee and the longest-serving U.S. Secretary of State during the Roosevelt administration. He also served in the Senate and the House of Representatives. Junius Marion Futrell (1870-1955) was the thirtieth governor of Arkansas as well as a circuit and chancery judge. He was governor during the Great Depression.
