This collection consists of three blank application forms for membership in Patrons of Husbandry Grange, dated 1870.
Biographical/Historical Note
The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry was founded in December 1867. Arkansas' first Grange chapter was established in August 1872. Arkansas State Grange was founded in June 1873. The purpose of the Grange was to protect farmers from "middlemen and monopolists," and encourage farmers to practice crop diversification and economic cooperation.
