This collection consists of one notice of commissioner's sale, Cleveland County, Arkansas, dated November 27, 1916.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Arkansas Legislature established Dorsey County as Arkansas' 71st county on April 17, 1873. It was named after Stephen W. Dorsey, U.S. Senator from Arkansas. When he was indicted for fraud, it was renamed Cleveland County, after President Grover Cleveland, on March 5, 1885.
