This collection contains a receipt for land in Washington County, Arkansas sold to Andrew Buchanan in1835.
Biographical/Historical Note
Andrew Buchanan (1792-1857) was born in 1792. He was ordained a Cumberland Presbyterian minister in 1826. He married Sina Neel. His stepson Col. James Preston Neal was the founder of Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Rev. Andrew Buchanan died April 12, 1857.
