This collection contains two letters written in 1864 by John Allen Thomson of the 2nd Arkansas Infantry, Company F, Confederate States Army to his cousin Mary L. Trimmer.
Biographical/Historical Note
John Allen Thomson was the son of John McGill Thomson and Elizabeth Johnson Thomson. John Allen served in the 2nd Arkansas Infantry Company F., Confederate States Army and was the cousin of Mary Thomson Trimmier. In 1864 John Allen Thomson wrote at least two letters to his cousin who was the wife of Lt. Colonel Theodore Gillard Trimmier of the 41st Alabama Regiment, Confederate States Army.
