This collection contains an application dated June 3, 1932 for Minnie King Johnston for the United Daughters of the Confederacy using her father, Charles Wilson King, as her ancestor.

Biographical/Historical Note

Minnie King Johnston was the daughter of Charles Wilson King, a veteran of Poindexter's Regiment, Missouri Cavalry, Confederate States Army. In 1932, Johnston applied for membership in the United Daughters of the Confederacy, a women's heritage association dedicated to honoring the memory of those who served and died in service to the Confederate States of America.
