This collection contains a letter written by Private Fletcher Gibson, Company B, Second Arkansas Cavalry, Confederate States Army to his wife Nancy Gibson dated November 21, 1861.
Biographical/Historical Note
Fletcher Gibson (1839-1862) was born in 1839 to Zachariah Gibson and Maachah Myers Gibson. Fletcher Gibson served in Company B, Second Arkansas Cavalry, Confederate States Army in 1861. He was married to Nancy Jane Perry and they lived in Bakarda, Drew County, Arkansas. Fletcher Gibson died in 1862.
