This collection contains a letter written November 10, 1919 by the Robbins-Sanford Mercantile of Searcy, Arkansas to O.B. Henderson of Pangburn, Arkansas regarding the sale of land to Mr. Henderson. Mr. Henderson wrote a reply at the bottom of the letter.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Robbins-Sanford Mercantile was located in Searcy County, Arkansas. Stephen Perry originally owned a business and retired in 1887. His grandson John Sanford, became a partner in the business with E.A. "Bony" Robbins. The Robbins-Sanford Mercantile Company went out of business sometime in the mid 1950s.
