There are two letters in this collection, one from 1871 and one from 1886.
Biographical/Historical Note
This collection contains two letters from southeast Arkansas written between 1871 and 1886. One letter is a letter of support for A.J. Griffis, written by Pine Bluff citizens in 1871 and the other is a letter written by M.A. Terrell of Star City to her cousin Mary Cason Calhoun, wife of A.J. Griffis, one of the Pine Bluff citizens mentioned in the 1871 letter.
