Biographical/Historical Note
The Camden stave mill was one of 10 stave mills (a stave being a strip of wood forming part of the sides of a container such as a barrel) owned by W.A. Mathews and Company in 1889. W.C. White served as agent. The company's headquarters were located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
