This collection contains a 16 page listing of individuals by township who paid poll taxes in 1917.
Biographical/Historical Note
Fulton county is in the northeast region of Arkansas. Salem serves as the county seat and the 618 square mile county was established on December 21, 1842 from parts of Izard and present-day Baxter counties. A poll tax is a uniform per capita tax levied upon a specified class of people often made a requirement for the right to vote.
