Description

This land grant gave James Alexander eighty acres of land in Hempstead County, Arkansas.

Biographical/Historical Note

James H. Alexander was a soldier in the Second Regiment, Tennessee Mounted Volunteers during the "Florida War." In return for his service, Alexander was given bounty land in Washington, Arkansas.
