Description

Program from the 1950 National Hospital Day honoring Nurse Lena Lowe Jordan. Jordan had worked as a nurse for 40 years and on her 66th birthday, the Lena Jordan Hospital honored her as part of National Hospital Day. The program is missing pages.

Biographical/Historical Note

Lena Lowe Jordan was an African American nurse in Little Rock. She was also a hospital administrator at two hospitals. She instituted a nursing program in Little Rock for young African American women and had a hospital named for her by 1938.
