Description
This is a color postcard from Jennie L. Anderson to Clara B. Eno, sent on December 14th, 1910. The image on the front of the postcard depicts an aerial view of Camden, Ouachita County, Arkansas.
Biographical/Historical Note
Clara B. Eno was born in 1854 in Van Buren, she died in Van Buren in 1951. She was a schoolteacher and never married. She was extremely active in women's organizations such as the DAR, UDC, and AFWC. She became one of the vice presidents of the old Arkansas Historical Association in 1905, and in 1908, began a successful campaign to preserve Little Rock's Old State House. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Arkansas State Archives in 1909, and became a charter member of the new Arkansas Historical Association in 1941.
