Dec 9th AD 1872
Dear Sir:
I am ashamed
to say that I had neglected
your business until I received
your on the fifth.
In looking into the matter
I find that the returns in
the office of the Secretary of State
show the throwing out of some
Eight Townships and the Election
of your oponents[sic]
With high regard
I am Respectfully yours
