[Page 1] In obedience to Notice, The home Guard
appointed by the county court of Prairie County
Arks. for Hamilton Township, met at Hamilton
Church on Thursday the 11th July 1861 - Present
W.J. Hood, John [illegible], Saml. [illegible],
Josephus Tucker, Saml. Robinson, S.W. Arnold,
James H. Edmondson, & H Reynolds - Josephus
Tucker was called to the chair, and H. Reynolds
appointed sec - The object of the meeting
being explained by the chairman - The Guard
proceded [sic] to organise [sic] by the Election of the
following officers, to wit -
H Reynolds Captain
J.H. Edmondson Firt Lt.
W.J. Hood Second Lt.
