Description

Correspondence from R.C. Reed at Camp Trader to Governor Harris Flanagin in Washington, Arkansas. Reed writes that he is sending Flanagin some dispatches that arrived the night before and says that Colonel Trader "refused to have any thing whatever to do with them" after he saw the address. Reed hopes that Flanagin will look at them.

Governor
The enclosed dispatches came in
by the courier last night & more by me (in
absence of Col. Pettus) sent to Col. Trader
for his action - He simply as Adgt More
reports looked at the address & refused
to have any thing whatever to do
with them. As they seem to require
some kind of notice & as there seems
to be no one else whose business
it is I beg leave to call the attention
of Your Excellency to them
With sentiments of highest regard
