At an Election held in
the 11th Regiment of Arks Cavalry (Col. John Logan)
encamped at Walnut Hill Arkansas on the 5th
day of Jnuary 1865 the persons named below
received the number of Votes set opposite their
respective names for the office of Judge of the 6th
Judicial Circuit of the State of Arkansas To Wit
A B Williams received II 2 Votes
John H. Askew received Votes
Geo W McCowin received Votes
W B Turner received Votes
John T. Bearden received 45 Votes
Certified under our hands this the 5th day of January
1865

encamped at (?) Arkansas in the county
of Lafayette State of Arkansas on the 5th day of
January 1865 for the purpose of electing a Judge of the
6th Judicial Circuit of the State of Arkansas to
fill the Vacancy of said Office ocassioned by the
resignation of the (?) L(?) B Green
Oath of Judges
We do solemly swear that we will perform the
duties of Judges of this election according to law and
endeavor to prevent fraud[,] deceit and abuse in Conducting
the law and that we will not divulge either directly
or indirectly for whom any individual Votes except
in case of contested Elections
Sworn to and subscribed before
[illegible] 5th Jany 1865

We so do solemly swear that we will
faithfully record the names of all Votes; that we
will not divulge directly or indirectly for whom
any individual Votes except in case of Contested
Election, and that we will faithfully discharge
