Description
This document is a list of specifications and supplies needed for constructing a building on the piazza in Davidsonville.
Biographical/Historical Note
Alexander Gifford was a carpenter commissioned to build a piazza and house in Davidsonville by Jacob Garrett in 1820. He completed the building according to specifications, however he wasn't paid for his work. In 1822, he brought a lawsuit for his wages against Jacob Garrett. The piazza building described by Gifford's specifications list is extremely similar in size and almost identical in model as the still standing Jacob Wolf House in modern day Izard County.
