Description

Street scene facing west of Garland Avenue at corner of Priddy Street in Magazine. Stores pictured include the John D. Maxwell Dry Goods Store, Leftwich Drug Store, Bank of Magazine, The Peck Store (before 1923, G.B. Kyle Store, the building two down from the G.B. Kyle Store burned in 1918), The Vick Oliver Hardware Store, upstairs in this building was the Magazine Opera House. Cecil Chitwood was the owner of the Opera House and Mable Shannon was the manager.
