This collection contains a bound report regarding the expansion of the U.S. Veterans facility in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1944.
Biographical/Historical Note
The United States Veterans facility was established around 1933 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. By 1944, the facility had 258 beds when members of the Fayetteville business community lobbied to have the facility expanded to 500 beds. In 1954 a resolution passed the House asking that the facility be expanded to 400 beds.
