This collection contains a single folded folio issue of the Arkansas Advocate from 1831.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Arkansas Advocate newspaper was created in 1839 by Charles Pierre Bertrand of Little Rock. The publication ran until 1844. Bertrand had received his training by apprenticeship under William Woodruff who was editor and founder of the Arkasnas Gazette.
