Description

This unit will introduce students to the Arkansas flag and its history, and explore the concept of symbols. Students will have an opportunity to develop their own Arkansas state flag, using symbols of their choosing.

This lesson plan was produced for 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade students, but may be altered by teachers to fit other grade levels.
