Won D.S.C. as private in Co. I 133th Inf. In action near Verdun, Oct. 10, 1918.

Named on Gen. Pershing's list of outstanding world war heroes.

College of St. Andrew incorporated at Fort Smith Jan. 5, 1849.

New school law enacted January 5, 1849.
