This collection contains an manuscript about Baptists in northeast Arkansas written by Walter E. McLeodin 1945. The article covers the history of the northeast Arkansas Baptist churches from 1794 until the beginning of the Civil War.

Biographical/Historical Note

Walter E. McLeod received the first bachelor’s degree awarded by Mountain Home College (also knownas Mountain Home Baptist College). He later became a well-known educator and writer. This story chronicles the early development of Baptist churches in northeast Arkansas.
