Biographical/Historical Note

W.L. Terry was born September 27, 1850, near Wadesboro, North Carolina. He graduated from Trinity College in North Carolina in 1872, and was admitted to the bar in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1873. From 1875 to 1885, he was city attorney of Little Rock, and in 1879 he served as state senator and senator pro tempore. Terry served in the United States House of Representatives, 1901-1909. He died on November5, 1917.
