Description

This collection contains personal documents owned by Sterling Dudley Green until his death in 1919. The documents contain his tax information, correspondence, financial statements, sales ephemera, and government statements regarding his titles. The time period of the documents ranges from 1870 to 1914. Two disks contain .jpg and .fbc files from circa 2012-2013.

Biographical/Historical Note

Sterling Dudley Green was born in North Carolina in 1843. He joined the Confederacy during the Civil War, and was part of the 3rd Arkansas Regiment, Tulip Rifles, and the 2nd Arkansas Cavalry. He married twice, wedding his second wife, Hattie Boyd in 1886. They were residing in Tulip, Arkansas, in Dallas County at the time of his death in 1919.
