Biographical/Historical Note
Climber Motor Corporation was founded in North Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1919, and produced the only car that was manufactured in Arkansas. The two models of cars produced were the 4-cylinder Model K, Climber Four, and the 6-cylinder Model S, Climber Six. They also produced two models of trucks. Due to financial instability, the company started selling stocks for ten dollars a share; this did not save the company, however. The Climber Corporation filed for bankruptcy in 1924. Curtis Motor Car Company was founded in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1920. The company was selling its stock for fifty dollars a share by April of 1920. The company was sued in 1922 for defrauding their stock holders George Palmer and J.H. Parking, both of Little Rock.
