This collections consists of two books of church records, minutes of meetings, membership lists, deeds, and a photograph.

Biographical/Historical Note

Smith Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Lonsdale, Arkansas, was established in 1858 and entered the Saline Baptist Association in 1859. Its first pastor was area pioneer Elder Wilkins Tate, who died in 1869. The church was originally in Hot Spring County but is now located in Garland County, Arkansas.
