Biographical/Historical Note
Sarah Ann Quarles, later the wife of Leroy Chandler, kept a diary during her family's trek from Louisa County, Virginia, to Cooper County, Missouri, in 1836. Charles Quarles Chandler later made the same trip in 1938.
