This collection contains three diaries and twelve photographs related to Isaac G. Vail and his family.
Biographical/Historical Note
Isaac G. Vail was born in 1843 in New Jersey and moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, with his family in the 1890s. His family included his wife, Sarah E. Vail, their four children, Frank, Ernest, Bessie Mae, and Albert, and a daughter-in-law, Mary, who was married to Frank. Vail died in late 1903 or early 1904 according to a probate record.
