Description
This collection contains a program from the first reunion of the class of 1946 of Little Rock High School, which occurred on July 8 and 9, 1977. It also contains a list of contact information for members of Wilson's Tigers. Wilson's Tigers was a group of Little Rock High School football players who met each year to remember their coach, Wilson Matthews, and their days playing football. The collection also contains a photograph of members of the class of 1948 of Little Rock High School at their reunion, which occurred on April 17-19, 1998.
Biographical/Historical Note
Preceded by Sherman, Scott Street, and Peabody schools, Little Rock High School opened at Fourteenth and Cumberland Streets, Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1905. In 1927, the school moved to the current building at Fourteenth and Park streets. It was renamed Little Rock Central High School in 1955.
