This collection contains material collected by Judie Fite King and her family, mostly from the 1920s, including a photograph and report card from Wabbaseka School, a photograph from Altheimer School, a postcard from Rector High School, two photographs from the Cut Price Store in Wabbaseka, Arkansas, and five railway and steamship traveling cards.

Biographical/Historical Note

This collection consists of material collected by Judie Fite King and her husband and donated by Judie Fite King. It consists of material that belonged to their family members who lived in Arkansas. It includes four photographs and one postcard of various schools and businesses in Arkansas including Altheimer School, Rector High School, Wabbaseka School, and the Cut Price Store in Wabbaseka, Arkansas. The Wabbaseka School photograph features the aunt of Judie Fite King's husband, Minnie Davis, as well as Willie Hocker, designer of the Arkansas state flag. The collection also includes a Wabbeseka School report card that belonged to Minnie Davis. Wabbaseka, Arkansas, is a small community of around 200 people located in Jefferson County. In addition, the collection includes traveling cards that once belonged to Judie Fite King's father, Homer C. Fite.
