These files typically contain: applications in chronological order, certificate or transcript of chiropractic school or training; photographs, renewal of chiropractic license, cards with test results, correspondence between the applicant and the Chiropractic Board, board file cards reflecting an inactive status, and an obituary news clipping on the inactive chiropractor if available. These files require 48 hour notice before viewing, due to restrictions.
Biographical/Historical Note
The State Board of Chiropractic Examiners was created by Act 126 of 1915. The board is a regulatory board assigned the responsibility to: provide for the licensing and examination of chiropractors; ensure that any person practicing or offering to practice chiropractic medicine in the state is qualified and licensed; and to safeguard the public health and welfare of the citizens of Arkansas.
