This collection contains bulletins, newspapers, and an athletics booklet from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, from 1971 to 1976.

Biographical/Historical Note

John Brown University is a private, interdenominational, Christian liberal arts college in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It was founded in 1919 by John Edward Brown who wanted to offer an education that was focused on "head, heart, and hand." Its original name was Southwestern Collegiate Institute. It was changed to John E. Brown College a few years later and eventually to John Brown University. It began as a vocational college offering associate degrees, but expanded in 1934 to offer four year bachelor degrees. It eventually began offering graduate degrees, as well.
