This collection contains two letters from George C. Powell of McLeans Bottom, Morrison Bluff, Franklin County (Ark.) to his family. The first is dated December 1, 1845 to addressed to Charles F. Powell of Elbridge, Onondago County, New York. The second is dated February 14, 1847 and addressed to Powell's parents, Nancy and Daniel Powell of Elbridge, New York.
