This collection contains papers from both the Scarlett and Bullock families, including news clippings, legal papers and deeds, family correspondence, personal writings, family and autobiographical notes, and family memorabilia.
Biographical/Historical Note
William Pratt Scarlett was born in Russellville, Arkansas, on May 25, 1897. He graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock in 1925 and began practicing medicine in Russellville. Vivian Arene Bullock was born on December 29, 1896, in Dardanelle, Arkansas. She was a teacher of home economics from 1920 until her marriage to William in 1923. They had two children, Roberta and William Pratt, Jr.
